Mission/Philosophy

The mission of The Expedition School (TES) is: To embrace the natural curiosity of children and empower them to become innovative problem solvers and community builders, and to provide excellent and innovative education to students through experiential project based learning and STEM focused curriculum.

TES Vision: To be an excellent school choice that graduates students with skills required to choose college and to contribute to the global community.

Therefore, The Expedition School actively works on being an inclusive, equitable, just and diverse community, honoring individuality, and creating a place of belonging for all.

To embody this mission, TES provides a schoolwide Project Based Learning curriculum, with a focus on STEM integration. We also employ a student-centered, social and emotional learning approach to teaching and learning through implementation of Responsive Classrooms.
