Board of Directors

Our Board is made up of parents and business people passionately interested in education.  We are a local, grass roots group, with board members living in Chapel Hill, Hillsborough and Mebane.

The board of director's primary responsibilities are:

  • Assure the school follows the mission as written in the charter
  • Assure financial accountability and financial stability of the school
  • Make spending choices and set salaries
  • Hire and Evaluate the Director of Education and Curriculum
  • Approve all new hires/approve all employee terminations
  • Create and revise school and board policies
  • Fund raise for the school

The board does not deal with the day to day operations of the school.  Day to day items (such as teacher performance, car circle,  and school activities) need to be discussed with appropriate school personnel.
